OK, who ordered the Black Bear Surprise for a 10:45pm delivery?

Paintball Ready

Only four of us showed up. From left, Brad - Army Ranger, Tony - Marine Corporal, me - desk jockey, Michael - teen son of Brad.

You can guess the overall outcome. From Brad: What's the difference between a dead Ranger and a dead Marine? The Marine will be out of ammo, the Ranger will have rounds left (the explanation I got is that a Ranger's training says to conserve ammo as there is always a way out).

We had a total of six games on Saturday on the side of a mountain that was more wall-like than not. We climbed that bastard a dozen times, every time with a sense of urgency that only being fired upon can bring. My legs the day after were very uninterested in following any direction from me that did not involve 'staying still'. This one day was more work than the full three day ski trip at Winter Park in April, and they were not amused.

Yes, Tony really played all rounds with the full-cammo face mask and top, and those purple shorts... He hit me in every single game but one, though in my defense I had him pinned briefly while Brad moved in to take him out from another angle.

Fun was had by all. I've gotta get me one of those Heats...

And yes, there really was a 10:45pm visitor to check out the dinner menu we had going; Ribs, chicken, corn & potato salad (yum). No bear, no salad for you. Now shoo. ::yeesh::
